Celia Grandison-Markey

 Celia has had ten years experience as President of a Nursing Organisation working with the management committee and its members to the achievement of charitable status, local, national and international recognition. She retired early from her role in the NHS as Academic Registrar in 1995 to give me more time to pursue her aspirations in assisting BME nurses,
 
Voluntary Activities
Ø       She is at present the Advisory Board Member  for The Jamaican Diaspora UK 

 
Ø       Co-founder and Chair of the Confederation Of Black and Ethnic Minority Nurses Midwives and Health Visitors (CBEN)
 
She currently works as a consultant for a Health and Care Diversity Partnership: Promoting a positive future in recruitment, retention and progression for BME communities and has written several editorial and review articles for the Nursing Standard.
 
Celia holds a diploma in Nursing and is registered as a Midwife, Mental Nurse, Nurse General as well as a Clinical Nurse Teacher. She has attained a Masters Degree in Public Sector Management, B.Ed (Hons).  Registered Nurse Tutor  Certificate  and Certificate in  Further Education. Celia has been awarded the r Meritorious Badge of Honour from the Jamaican Government for Service to nursing and the Voluntary Sector in the United Kingdom and Jamaica.
