Jenny Treanor

National Project Lead - Speaking Up project

Jenny joined the Patients Association in February 2013 and is leading  the Speaking Up – Complaints Improvement project.

She has many years of experience working in and with the Health Service.  She qualified as a Nurse in 1985. After a number of years working in clinical and management roles for the NHS she joined the Audit Commission where she worked as Senior Performance Specialist (Health). Her role there was to help NHS organisations to become more efficient and effective.  Since leaving the Audit Commission Jenny has worked on, and led, a number of projects designed to improve patient care including clinical utilization reviews and re-admission reviews.

Jenny is enthusiastic about playing a part in this fantastic project making sure that the complainants’ voice is heard and that patient care improves as a result of complaints which are made.  The team at the Patients Association have spent two years developing, piloting and refining a range of tools to help Hospitals, and other NHS bodies, to assess and improve the way they deals with patients complaints. Jenny ‘s role is to spread this work across the NHS.
