Head of Policy & Campaigns



Chris joined the Patients Association in June 2012 as Senior Campaigns & Policy Manager.  Having worked previously on the successful 2010 general election campaign of Martin Vickers MP he went on to work as his Chief of Staff heading up his Westminster Office.

Chris brings extensive campaigning experience to the Patients Association having worked on general, local and state election campaigns in both the United Kingdom and North America for the last 5 years. He also brings academic rigour, experience and a wealth of technical knowledge as a consequence of his studies in the UK, Europe and North America.

For Chris issues of healthcare provision are of particular personal interest, and as Head of Policy & Campaigns he is responsible for the creation, promotion and day-to-day management of the Patients Association's fast paced policy and campaigns activities. 


As part of his responsibilities, Chris has overseen, researched and authored several reports on issues ranging from Infection Control to Primary Care. In addition to this he works with many external groups on behalf of the Patients Association including the Care & Support Alliance, Department of Health Medicines Supply Group, Nursing and Midwifery Council Patient Engagement Forum, NHS Alliance PPI Group and Patients involved in NICE (PINs).
